Scholarships

CEF Senior Scholarships – The CEF (Clarkston Education Foundation) Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior who demonstrates academic promise and financial need. This award was created by community members who wanted to broaden the horizons and prepare students to experience life in and beyond the valley. These community members formed the CEF in order to promote and enhance education in Clarkston schools. The application requires a personal essay, recommendations from teacher and/or guidance counselor along with academic records. The selection committee consists of CEF board and community members. Charles R. and Louise V. Setlow Memorial Science Scholarship – The Charles R. and Louise V. Setlow Memorial Science Scholarship for the Advancement of Science Education is awarded annually to a graduating senior. The children of Charles and Louise Setlow — Marguriette, Andrew (1950 CHS graduate), Robert (1960 CHS graduate), and Charlene (1962 CHS graduate) — established this fund in 2006 to promote science education in memory of their parents. Selection is based on financial need, academic achievement, and a demonstrable interest in pursuing a career in a scientific field. Click here to learn more. 

Brent McGreer Leadership Scholarship – The Brent McGreer Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior based on academic achievement, extracurricular activity, and leadership involvement in DECA or FCCLA. The funding for this scholarship is provided by the friends and family of Brent McGreer, a 2003 Clarkston High School graduate who was active in DECA and FCCLA leadership. This application (available above) requires a personal essay, recommendations from a teacher and/or guidance counselor along with academic records. CEF Performing Arts Scholarship – The CEF Performing Arts Scholarship is awarded annually to a student who is pursuing a degree in music, art, drama or dance.   Click here to view application.

Tim Lynch Three-Sport Athletic Scholarship – This scholarship is open to any student who has participated in three sports during their high school career. Click here to view application.
